The 3rd International Conference on Safe Falling for Older People through Judo hosted at Tokai University, Kanagawa, Japan, from 12th – 14th December 2025

The 3rd International Conference on Safe Falling for Older People through Judo, held at the prestigious Tokai University in Kangawa, Japan was a great success. The conference ran from the 12th to 14th December 2025, and brought together coaches, practitioners and researchers, both within and outside of judo, from across the globe. These experts shared their ideas, thoughts and findings from their research and practice in the topic of developing and promoting safer falling for older people, with the joint aim of reducing the risk and severity of injury upon impact of falling.
Thank you to all delegates who attended the conference, and thank you to colleagues from the University of Hertfordshire, JUDOs and Tokai University for the excellent organisation and hospitality.
